Biodegradable tacky additive
Description
Petritac Bio is a fully biodegradable additive, designed to be impart ‘tackiness’ to lubricant systems. It is based on natural rubbers dissolved in rapeseed oil.
Petritac Bio will dissolve easily in vegetable oils, and synthetic esters such as TMP oleate. This product is easy to handle/use and is also FDA approved.
Application
- The recommended treat rate is between 1% and 3%.
- Known applications include: chain & wire-rope lubricants, rust preventatives, chainsaw lubricants, slideway lubricants, rock drilling oils, rail curve greases, greases, sealants, and antimisting agents for metalworking fluids.
- This product is not suitable for use in blown rapeseed oils.
Storage and Handling
When being blended into the base, the base should be maintained at a temperature of approximately 50°C.
