Hybase ® C-401

DESCRIPTION

Hybase® C-401 is a 400 TBN oil soluble overbased calcium sulfonate. Hybase® C-401 is a typically used as a detergent and rust inhibitor in crankcase lubricants. It is designed as a stand alone detergent. If other detergent types are present, then Hybase® C-402 should be considered for improved compatibility. Hybase® C-401 is compatible with most mineral base oils, white oils, and synthetic base stocks.

APPLICATIONS

Automotive, diesel, marine, railroad and stationary diesel lubricants.

TYPICAL TREAT

Nominal dosages would range from 0.5 to 25.0 wt. % of the finished lubricant.

HANDLING INFORMATION

Hybase® C-401 is a liquid overbased calcium sulfonate and is normally handled at elevated temperatures. For general purposes, the following storage and handling temperatures are recommended:

STORAGE 60-80°C (140-176°F)

HANDLING 80-90°C (176-194°F)
