Additin® RC 7001 is an aminic antioxidant of high purity and characterised as octylated diphenylamine. Additin® RC 7001 has excellent handling and blending properties. It is supplied in small granules in order to avoid dust problems associated with powders.

Additin® RC 7001 is used to stabilize lubricants against oxidation and sludge formation. (e.g. high temperature
lubes like silicones, but also ATF).
Typical treat rates are 0.5 – 2 %.

Additin® RC 7001 is also applied in greases and shows synergistic effects in combination with Additin® RC 7130 or Additin® RC 7010. In mineral oil based lubricants such as turbine oils Additin® RC 7001 is synergistically active in
combination with phenols e.g. Additin® RC 7110 or Additin® RC 7115 and copper inhibitors e.g. Additin® RC
8221 or Additin® RC 8239.

Additin® RC 7001 is in compliance with § 178.3570 according to U.S. Food and Drug administration regulations
(lubricants with incidental food contact).

This product is acceptable as an ingredient for use in lubricants with incidental food contact (HX-1) for use in and
around food processing areas. The registration of this ingredient is for the use only as an antioxidant in lubricants
with incidential food contact at a level not to exceed 0,5 % percent by weight.

Such compounds may be used on food processing equipment as a protective anti-rust film, as a release agent on gaskets or seals of tank closures, and as a lubricant for machine parts and equipment in locations in which there
is a potential exposure of the lubricated part to food. The amount used should be the minimum required to
accomplish the desired technical effect on the equipment. If used as an anti-rust film, the compound must be
removed from the equipment surface by washing or wiping, as required to leave the surface effectively free of any
substance which could be transferred to food being processed.

Formulations containing NSF Registered ingredients are not considered to be NSF Registered products (e.g. H1
or H2 lubricants). A separate application is required for each final product. If you would like to apply for a NSF
Registration of your lubricant you need only identify our trade name Additin® RC 7001, the NSF Registration
Number 141666, and concentration within the finished product on the application form.

Solubility

Soluble in mineral oils and synthetic base oils. However, it is necessary to verify the solubility in the base oils
used and the compatibility with other additives.
