Additin® RC 4820 is an ashless anticorrosion additive which is showing positive effects on antiwear properties.
Additin® RC 4820 provides outstanding anticorrosion performance in many different base fluids including natural
and synthetic esters.

In environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids based esters excellent anticorrosion performance can be obtained with
treat levels as low as 0.1 – 1.0 % by weight. Typical treat rates for lubricants based on mineral oils or PAO´s are
in the range of 0.02 – 0.10 % by weight.

The anticorrosion performance of greases (e.g. EMCOR Test) especially towards salt water impact can be
successfully improved by using Additin® RC 4820 at 1.0 – 3.0% treat level.

Solubility

Soluble in mineral oils and synthetic base oils. However, it is necessary to verify the solubility in the base oils
used and the compatibility with other additives.

Storage conditions

in a dry place at room temperature approx. 24 months

Handling

Additin® RC 4820 may become turbid to semi-crystalline upon storage. Material can be easily liquified by heating
to approx. 50 °C prior to formulation.
