Ashless and chlorine free additive package for metalworking fluids

Application

Metalworking fluids with viscosities higher 100 mm²/s (40°C) especially for cold forming processes (deep drawing, cold extrusion, ironing, wire drawing, tube drawing, profiling etc.) as well as for stamping and fine blanking Additin RC 9730 is an ashless, chlorine free additive package with excellent extreme pressure, antiwear, lubricity and cororosion protection performance.

It is suitable to formulate metalworking fluids for the following materials: yellow metals, aluminum alloys, all types of carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium alloys.

The treat rate recommendation for Additin RC 9730 ranges from 2% – 20% b.w. depending on the process requirements. In order to achieve maximum performance of Additin RC 9730 it is recommended to select the base fluid viscosities according to the particular process requirements. In combination with RC 4810, emulsifiers, biocide and pH improver Additin RC 9730 is applicable for the use in watermiscible concentrates of high EP type drawing emulsions. Treat rate in concentrates : 5% – 50%. It is recommended to evaluate the suitability of the formulation in field trials.

Solubility

Soluble in most mineral oils and synthetic base oils. However, it is necessary to verify the solubility in the base
oils and the compatibility with other additives.
