Calcinate™ OR

Description

Calcinate® OR is a 400 TBN frst intent overbased calcium sulfonate. This product is a high quality sulfonate designed to be a component in metal working formulations providing the benefcial effects of alkalinity for neutralizing acid and superior demulsibility for rust inhibition. It also directly protects the metal surface from corrosion. The calcium to sulfonate ratio is optimized for good oil solubility and compatibility with other formulating components. Calcinate® OR is compatible with most mineral base oils, white oils, and synthetic base stocks.

Applications

Metal working fluids, industrial lubricating oils.

Typical Treat

Nominal dosages would range from 0.5 to 10.0 wt. % of the finished lubricant.

Handling Information

Calcinate® OR is a liquid neutral calcium sulfonate and is normally handled at elevated temperatures. For general purposes, the following storage and handling temperatures are recommended:
