Ben Walter wins UKLA Young Employee of the Year
16 November 2021
Petrico Ltd is delighted to announce that Ben Walter has been voted United Kingdom Lubricants Association (UKLA) Young Employee of the Year for 2021. The award was made at the prestigious UKLA Annual Dinner in London’s West End, a sell-out event that is attended by leading industry professionals from across the globe.
Ben started his career in the lubricants industry in 2016 and is the third generation of his family to have worked in the oil industry. His natural understanding of the technical aspects and chemistry of Petrico’s extensive product range, along with positive feedback from customers and suppliers, prompted a move into a more customer focussed role where he quickly established himself as a ‘ go to’ for technical support.
Alongside his technical and regulatory knowledge, Ben provides advice and support to customers looking to formulate or reformulate products. He passed his UKLA Certificate of Lubricants Competence Course with distinction and has helped Petrico to successfully implement its BREXIT strategy to minimise supply chain disruption.
“ We are very pleased that Ben has received this recognition,” enthuses Petrico Managing Director, Andrew Lamb. “Petrico’s success has been achieved by delivering the highest levels of customer service and Ben is an integral part of this. We were all very proud to have been in attendance when the award was announced and Ben went up to collect it. It is fantastic achievement both for him and our business.”
