Petrico team takes on Mighty Marathon for Charity

The ‘Petrico Peaky Plodders’ will be donning their walking shoes this summer as they take on the Gower Peninsula Mighty Marathon Hike to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The cause
Macmillan’s Mighty Hikes are a series of one-day hiking marathons across some of the most beautiful and unspoiled parts of the UK, with all sponsorship money going to Macmillan as it helps those with cancer live life as fully as possible, providing physical, financial and emotional support.
The course
The hike will start and finish at Penrice Castle, Reynoldston on 11th July 2020. The Gower Peninsula, known for its coastline and popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, especially surfers, was designated as the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty back in 1956.
